Running and jumping through the reeds
Our mascot PODI loves to romp around in the reeds. That is why our agility course is modeled after the favorite terrain of our favorite spoonbill. Even the little ones can let off steam here and walk across the bird track bridge and wobble over balance logs while holding hands with mom and dad.
Because PODI is a very active and sociable bird, but values peace and relaxation highly, there are small relaxation islands with hammocks and nest nets in the reed course. Those who are curious about the real reed belt can walk a few meters forward to the lake. From the shore, you can watch ducks and – with a little luck – perhaps even PODI or some of his friends. These beautiful, elegant birds mainly use the reed belt for foraging.
Speaking of food: Cold drinks and snacks are available in the self-service vending machines on the snack island. Extensive lunches and dinners will be served from the beginning of May at the new family restaurant, Sunbay.
