Sand playground

Immerse yourself in the fascination of playing in the sand

There is shoveling and digging going on. Buckets are filled and molds turned over, sandcastles built and treasures buried. The soft grains of sand trickle through fingers, and feet leave deep imprints in the cool or warm sand. So much joy and so many sensory perceptions.

On the giant sand playground and in the water world opposite, it doesn't take long for children to become completely immersed in play and dive into other worlds. At the same time, they create their own world out of sand and explore with all their senses. For as Albert Einstein once said: Play is the highest form of research.

There is plenty of room here for free play, without parental guidance. Let your little explorers immerse themselves in the fascination of playing in the sand and enjoy a break in a shady spot – either with a view of the sand playground or Lake Neusiedl.

By the way: bringing your own sand toys is not absolutely necessary. The sand construction site is equipped with excavator shovels, buckets, cranes, and a sand conveyor belt. On hot days, a sun sail provides protection from the heat.

Fancy a bit of mud? A bucket of water from the lake or from the interactive water world brings even more fun to the game. Before moving on to the next attraction of this unique playground, the sand-covered children wash the traces of sand from their bodies with an extensive bath in the shallow lake water.

The sand playground will be open again from mid-May.
